Window sill growing: Chillies – batch 2

So the lockdown boredom experiments continue!

This batch of chillies I decided to germinate using the wet paper towel method – place the seeds between two sheets of wet paper towels, put in a little plastic box and leave on the window sill. Some methods put the paper towel in a plastic bag and in the airing cupboard. I checked every few days and kept the towels moist.

Took a while but about 10 days later 23 of the 25 have germinated! Probably would have been faster somewhere with more consistent heat. Planted in a 90% compost, 10% fine sand mix. Check back and follow me on instagram to see their progress.
