Everything Free Biscuits

As much as I love it I cant eat wheat too often, and I’m not a big fan of sugar, but luckily there are loads of options you can replace them with. The main things in the recipe to replace are gram flour (chick pea flour) and agave syrup which is also good for binding everything together. Prep and cooking of this is easy and if you’re efficient not much to clean up either.

Wheat and Sugar free

This are free of all those nasty things, but are still really tasty. Pulled together from about six different recipes, change it around and let me know how you get on.

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • The gram flour preparation
Heat up a pan and add the coconut oil and peanut butter on a medium heat. In a bowl mix the gram flour with the nutmeg and salt and add to the pan. Mix it in with the coconut oil and peanut butter and let roast up mixing occasionally until it is a golden brown colour. Add in the hazelnut milk, mix up and put in bowl.

  • Other prep
If they come whole, mince up the nuts and figs. Cut the stems of the fig before mincing them.

  • Mix it all up!
Add the everything together in a big bowl:
    *Gram flour mix
    *Nuts & figs
    *Desiccated coconut
    *Agave syrup

Mix it up really well, it should be like a thick paste. If it is a bit dry add some more hazelnut milk.

  • Baking time
Scoop out golfball size balls on to your baking tray and pat down slightly.
Bake at 170 for 25 mins or until nicely browned up depending on how much you flatten them.
